Dr. Sawsan Najmey founded Midstate Rheumatology Center in 2005. She is board certified in Internal Medicine and Rheumatology. She Recieved her Doctorate of Medicine from Jordan University. She then completed her residenacy in Internal medicine and her Rheumatology Fellowship at St. Michaels Medical Center in Newark, NJ. She is a fellow of the American College of Rheumatology and has several publications in scientific medical journals. She has participiated as a speaker at national and international conferences such as the International Osteoporosis Foundation. She is an active part of local communities and hospitals and continues to give lectures and seminars in the field of Rheumatology and Osteoporsis. She is also on the The CentraState Fitness & Wellness Center Medical Advisory Board.
Dr. Najmey has been practicing Rheumatology for more than 18 years. She is dedicated to treating and educating her patients about Rheumatology as well as their individual conditions. One of her goals as a physician is to reach out to her patients as people and correct any preconceived ideas they may have such as, "With age comes pain and you just have to learn to live with it." Dr. Najmey believes that pain is not a part of aging, and in many cases it can be treated through conservative nonsurgical means before surgery is even considered.
